Doris Lee Lawrence, 83, of Glasgow, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, April 18, 2024 at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital. She was a daughter of the late Oscar and Dorothy Ethel Neal Honeycutt.
She is survived by her husband: James R. Lawrence; six children: Debbie Popplewell, Peggy Engleman (Tim), Barbara Shirley (Alan), Jack Sneed (Tammy), Walter Sneed and James William Lawrence (Elisha); thirteen grandchildren: Michael, Artie, Andy, Brandi, Taylor, Jacquelyn, Tara Jean, Nichole, Chrissie, Casey, Justin, Kaylee Grace, Kellis, Chastity, Jessica, Brad and Kyle; two sisters: Jane Weaver (Louis) and Mary Johnson; several great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by one granddaughter: Kimberly Hilligoss; one son-in-law: Mike Popplewell; four brothers: Edward Honeycutt, Eugene Honeycutt, Wayne Honeycutt and Billy Honeycutt; three sisters: Rose Pemberton, Sue Riddle and Carolyn Hale.
Funeral will be 1:00 pm Monday, April 22, 2024 at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Hiseville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm Sunday and after 9:00 am Monday until time for services at the funeral home.
