Deborah Sue McCann, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on February 11, 2026, surrounded by her three daughters at the Shanti Niketan Hospice House in Glasgow, Kentucky. She was born on July 7, 1956, in Cullman, Alabama to the late Harry Adamson and Myrtie Broughton. She was raised in Flint, Michigan and graduated from Northern High School in 1974.
Deborah began her career in 1974 at General Motors, a journey that spanned several decades. She worked at Buick in Flint, Michigan before transferring to the Corvette Plant in Bowling Green, KY where she retired in 2002.
Throughout her life, Deborah was known for her compassionate spirit and her passion for caring for others. She had a particular love for children, exemplifying her nurturing personality in all that she did. Her admirable strength was showcased in her courageous battle against cancer, which she faced with grace, determination, and strong faith. "Faith Over Fear" was her motto.
Deborah's life was rich with love and laughter. She cherished her role as a mother and grandmother. She is survived by her three Daughters: Mandi McCann (Michael) of Owensboro, KY, Casie Carter of Glasgow, KY, and Lindsey Worley (Dillon) of Knob Lick, KY; twelve grandchildren: Alexis, Simone, Isiah, Dawson, Keagan, Zachary, Emery, Grayson, Granger, Adalyn, Kinsley, and Lincoln; two great-grandchildren, Harold III and Aurelius. She is also survived by her brother, Eric Adamson (Tona) of Danville, Alabama. She was preceded in death by her two brothers, Michael Adamson and James Adamson, and her sister, Laura Harris.
Deborah enjoyed traveling with her dog, Heidi and embraced life with a positive attitude. "On the road again!” was her theme song. She found solace in her favorite Bible verse, Joshua 1:9, which reminds us, "Be strong and courageous; the Lord your God is with you wherever you go." Although she has departed from this world, her spirit will continue to inspire and live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
A visitation will be held on February 14, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM at Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home in Glasgow, Kentucky with cremation to follow. As we gather to remember Deborah, let us celebrate her life and the many ways she touched our lives with her kindness and unwavering faith.
