Daris Naomi Edmunds

Daris Naomi Davis Edmunds, 95, Beckton, passed away Sunday, May 4, 2025 at Magnolia Village in Bowling Green. Naomi was born December 30, 1929 in the Poplar Spring Community to Charlie Davis and Katie Lee Staples Davis. She married John Ellis Edmunds June 6, 1953; they were married for 52 years prior to his passing. They lived most of that time together in the Beckton Community. Naomi was a retired waitress having worked at J J Newberry in Glasgow and later a cook at Barren County Health Care Center. She loved to visit yard sales and cook fried pies. She was a member of the Beckton Church of Christ.

Naomi was preceded in death by her parents Charlie and Katie Davis; her husband John Ellis Edmunds; a daughter Lesia Kaye Edmunds; two brothers: Charles Otto Davis and Wendell Alan Davis (Carrol) of Indianapolis; one sister, Melba Francis Davis Humphrey and husband Kenneth Norman Humphrey; and one brother-in-law, Kenneth Gray of Campbellsville.

Survivors include one son Danny Joe Edmunds (Jill Ferrell); two sisters: Sue Davis Gray Ford and husband Starchey of Campbellsville, and Betty Jean Davis Wright and husband Billy Wright of Beckton; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in Happy Valley Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be after 10:00 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Alternate expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Beckton Church of Christ.
