Danny Jewell Young

Danny Jewell Young 71, Passed away November 10, 2025 at Skyline Medical Center in Nashville. He was the son of the late Levis Jewell Young and Mazie Pruitt Young. Danny with his wife was the owner of Sweet Heart Bakery. He is member of Allen Lodge #24 Masonic Lodge, Shriner and York Rite member, and a member Widow Sons. He was member of South Side Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years Linda Mercer Young: two sons: Derek Young (Donna), Jason Young (Tammy); seven grandchildren: Carter Young (Mandi), Lance Young, Colton Edwards(Autumn), Caleb Brown (Haley), Elijah Brown (Bailee), Lainey Young, Addison Young, Brinley Young; six great-grandchildren: Carson Brown, Kamden Young, Mila Young, Allison Edwards, and Adaline Edwards; three brothers: Phillip Young, Terry Young (Heidi), and Roger Mercer (Terri); sister Lisa Mercer; Mother in-law: Ruth Mercer, and several nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his sister Susan Young, and sister In-law Julie Young.

Masonic rights will be held 2:00pm Saturday, November 15, 2025 at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with a celebration of life service to follow. Visitation will begin after 10:00am Saturday at the funeral home.
