Daniel W. Strickland, 68, Glasgow, passed away peacefully Saturday, August 8, 2026 at his residence. A native of Virginia, he was the son of William Strickland and the late Nancy Thompson Strickland.

Daniel was a retired QA Engineer at Aprisma and afterward continued his interest in computers and electronics. He was classified as a “tinkerer” as he was interested in a good many different areas. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, and caring for his animals. He was a member of Glenview Christian Church where he had previously been in charge of the sound and technical areas of the church.

Survivors include his wife Patricia; three children: Dawn Dolan and Caytlinn Batal (Joseph) both of Georgia, and Paul Sasenbury (Jeff Colprit) of New Hampshire; four grandchildren: Alexis Wolfmeyer (Nick) of Wisconsin, Dakoda Dolan (Alex) of New York, and Autumn Batal and Griffin Batal both of Georgia; two great-grandchildren: Averie Wolfmeyer and Evelyn Wolfmeyer both is Wisconsin; two brothers: Scott Strickland of New Hampshire and Tony Strickalnd of Maine; two sisters: Elizabeth Colgin (Jeremiah) of South Carolina and Karen Lossner (Robert) of Germany; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his mother, he was also preceded in death by his step-mother, Randi Strickland.

A memorial service will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Glenview Christian Church with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Hosparus Health—Barren River. The family would like to thank Daniel’s nurses Alina, Amanda, Lacy, and Sarah for such good care given to him along with his social worker Tai-Ann. Arrangements have been entrusted to Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home.
