Dan Allen Ashford, 72, of Glasgow, passed away peacefully on May 8, 2026, at TJ Samson Hospital surrounded by the love of his family. He was the son of the late Bobby Ashford and Kimmel Parrish Owens.

     Dan a God-fearing man who accepted the Lord at an early age, and spent much of his life faithfully serving in church through worship, and singing at Dry Fork Church of Christ. His faith was an important part of who he was, and he carried that kindness and love into every part of his life.

     Dan was talented man with gifted hands and creative spirit. He loved carving beautiful things from wood, working on his truck, and spending time with his beloved cats. More than anything, he treasured the moments spent with his wife, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He was the kind of man who made people feel loved, welcomes, and cared for.

     He leaves behind his loving wife of 51 years Diana Ashford; his cherished grandchildren: Kaelin Francis, Taylor Ashford, Jonathan Britt (Crystal), Zoe Francis, and Chloe Francis; seven great-grandchildren, special daughter-inlaw Veronica Francis; two sisters Kaye Roemer (Jamie), Tera Stice; brother Bucky Owens, and Aunt and uncle Gary and Sue Jenkins.

     In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his beloved son Christopher Allen Ashford; brother Tommy Ashford, sister in-law Bonnie Ashford, and brother in-law Larry Stice.

Dan Allen Ashford will be deeply missed by all who new him. His faith, talent, laughter, and gentle heart will never be forgotten.

     Graveside service will be held 11:30am Monday, May 11, 2026 at the Happy Valley Memorial Gardens. Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home is assisting family with arrangements.
