Claudette Margaret Smith

Claudette Margaret Smith, better known as “Det”, age 84, of Warsaw Missouri, passed away peacefully in her home on Saturday, September 19, 2026. Det was born March 17th, 1942, in Freeport Illinois to Claude and Violet (Cole) Smith who preceded her in death.

Det was a true free spirit at heart and spent her life giving to others. Her mission was to always share her blessings with the “underdog" and donated to a variety of charities. She was employed by AT&T for many years and retired early to enjoy all life had to give. Det enjoyed reading, visiting the casino and making unforgettable memories with her daughter Jamie and her two grandchildren Samantha and Caleb.

Survivors include a daughter Jamie Warne (Steve) of Warsaw. Brother Dick Smith of Glasgow Ky, one sister Cindy Cramer (Jimmy) of Sedalia Missouri, and two grandchildren Samantha Shroyer of Warsaw Missouri, Caleb Shroyer of Raytown Missouri. Two Great grandchildren Violet and Maisey of Warsaw, Missouri

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brother Bob Smith, Jack Smith, and Kay Harper.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Reser Funeral Home 101 W. Main Street, Warsaw. A Celebration of Life will be announced privately through arrangements made by the family.
