Clarice Mae Spradlin, 88, Cave City, passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2022. The Monroe County native was born on May 3, 1933 to the late Jack and Flossie Mae Pitcock Birge.
She was a longtime member of Beech Grove Missionary Baptist Church on 1297 in Glasgow where she had been a Sunday School teacher and Deacon’s wife. She loved spending time with her family and friends, travelling, shopping, cooking, and reading.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years Levi Spradlin; her three brothers: James Wallace Birge, Yandel Birge, and Leroy Birge; and a sister-in-law Phyllis Short.
She is survived by her sister Diane Russell and husband Larry; sisters-in-law Evelyn Birge and Louise Birge; along with several nieces, nephews, and beloved cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
