Christine E. Scott died from pneumonia (due to PAP) on July 24, 2013 at her home in Glasgow at age 64. She was born on October 5, 1948 in Nanking, China to missionary parents, Dr. Olaf and Eleanor Hansen. She grew up in Japan and returned there as an ESL teacher. Chris was a special education teacher in Barren County and an active member of PEO, Friends of Library and Kids’ Hope. She enjoyed yoga and walking at the YMCA. She is survived by her husband, Dr. Steven Scott, Psychophysiology Coordinator at Lindsey Wilson College, their children, Marvin Scott of Virginia Beach, Steve Scott of Louisville and Anna (Scott) Landers of Morgantown, their spouses and three grandchildren. There will be a celebration of her life and Christian faith at a later time when her family and friends can gather. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Kids’ Hope at the First United Methodist or Friends of the Glasgow Public Library. Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
