Charles Elmer Jeffries

Charles Elmer Jeffries, 81, of Glasgow , died Friday, March 5, 2004 at the T.J. Samson Community Hospital . He was the son of the late Charlie McKinley Jeffries and Mintie Francis Glass Jeffries and the husband of the late Ruby Lee Eaton Jeffries. He was a member of the East Main United Methodist Church and a USMC veteran.
He is survived by three sons: Gary Jeffries and his wife Rita of Glasgow, Darrell Jeffries and his wife Vickie of Sierra Vista, AZ and Neil Jeffries and his wife Vicki of Glasgow; two daughters: Denise Jeffries of Glasgow and Linda Colegrove and her husband Gregory of Branchland, WV; two brothers: Ola J. Jeffries and his wife Jeanette of Park City, KY and Raymond Jeffries and his wife Carolyn of Supply, NC; one sister: Ruth Humphrey of Glasgow; 10 Grand Children and 3 Great-Grand Children, also several nieces and nephews survive.
Besides his parents and wife he was preceded in death by one brother: Delmar Jeffries and two sisters Ora J. Martin and Gladys Jeffries.
Funeral will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Happy Valley Memorial Gardens . Visitation will be after 12:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the church of your choice or to the Barren County Relay for Life.
