Charles Edward Wells, 75, Smiths Grove, died Saturday, July 9, 2022 at the Rex Robley VA Medical Center in Louisville. A native of Adair County, he was the son of the late Stanley Edwards Wells and Lera Mae Wilson Wells. He was an auto mechanic and a U S Army veteran of the Vietnam era.
Survivors include his wife Brenda; one son, Kenny Wells and wife Joy of Smiths Grove; three grandchildren: Alyssa Aviles (Corey), Tristan Wells, and Heaven McGhee (John); two great-grandchildren: Kali Aviles and Kyson Aviles; one sister, Jewell Conatser; several nieces and nephews including Bobby Ray Conatser (Sharon) and Karen Holmes (Todd).
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home. Burial with military honors provided by Glasgow Chapter 20 DAV will be in the Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be after 4:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
