Carolyn Hale, 57, Smiths Grove, died Sunday, September 28, 2008, at her residence.  A daughter of the late Oscar and Dorothy Neal Honeycutt, she was a respiratory therapist, having worked at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital.  She was a devoted Democrat, a member of the Ladies League of Democrats, a former member of the Ladies Home Advisory Panel of Southern States and had been attending the First United Methodist Church of Glasgow.

Survivors include her husband, Joe; three sons, Jason Cross and wife, Mitzi, Danny Hale and wife, Angie, and Robert Hale and wife, Cindy;  two grandchildren, Madison and Daniel Hale; one step-grandchild, Mitchell Hale; three sisters, Doris Lawrence, Jane Weaver and Mary Johnson; four brothers, Edward Honeycutt, Eugene Honeycutt, Billy Honeycutt and Wayne Honeycutt; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Rose Pemberton and Sue Riddle.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 1, 2008, at the First United Methodist Church with burial in the Hiseville Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 2 to 8 Tuesday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home and after 9:00 a.m. Wednesday at the church.

Alternate expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to First United Methodist Church, WJCR, or Troopers’ Island.
