Carolyn Barbara Persyn Dunford, 51, Greensburg, died Tuesday, January 24, 2012, at her residence. A native of Detroit, she was a daughter of the late Barbara Ann Lablanc and Bruno August Persyn. She was a cashier at Wal-Mart, a member of the Kentucky Motorcycle Association, and a member of the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians.
Survivors include her husband, Oscar John Dunford; five daughters, Marie August Greenberg, Amanda Fern Dunford, Johnnie Lee Dunford, Susie Milton, and Carrie Dunford; three grandchildren, Eli, Julian, and Justice; four sisters, Ida Mae, Sylvia, Helena, and Donna; three brothers, Gus, Bobby, and Jimmy; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Jennifer.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Happy Valley Memorial Gardens. Friends may call after 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation .
