Carlos Joel Wells

Carlos Joel Wells, 87, Glasgow , died Sunday, December 12, 2004, at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital . A native of Barren County , he was a son of the late Joel and Eula Bailey Wells. He was retired manager of Dollar General Store in Glasgow and also Scottsville. He was a 32 nd degree mason and a member of the Scottish Rite and Order of the Eastern Star. He was a former member of the Glasgow City Council, a veteran of WW II and a Kentucky Colonel. He attended the Bethel United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret Ruby Wells; three sisters-in-law, Pauline Wells, Jean Wells and Margie Carder all of Glasgow; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Paul Wells, Ray Wells and Clifton Wells.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 15, 2004, at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
