Carl F. Hassel, 84, Glasgow, died Saturday, July 04, 2009, at the Barren County Health Care Center. A native of Rockport, IN, he was a son of the late Fred and Cora Winkler Hassel. He was a retired Tool and Gauge Inspector for the Chrysler Corporation.
Survivors include two daughters and their husbands, Cynthia Godfrey and husband, Michael, of Decatur, GA and Patricia Powers and husband, Steve, of Garland, TX; one granddaughter, Melissa Pelton; two great-grandsons; special friends, Ruby Berry of Austin, and Sheila and Jeff Furlong of Glasgow; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Norine Hassel; two brothers, Albert Hassel and Alfred Hassel.
Graveside services will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday at the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home.
