Bruce Anders Leeson passed from this world on the night of August 30, 2022. Born in Atlantic, Iowa on June 7, 1972, Bruce’s family moved to Glasgow in the early 1980s. Bruce graduated from Glasgow High School in 1990. Although Bruce held degrees in History, GIS Surveying, and Land Surveying, Bruce’s passion for food led to work as a restauranteur. Bruce then embarked on the commendable and rewarding road of an educator working with the mentally disabled students of Glasgow High School. Bruce was an assistant coach for the Glasgow High School Girl’s Soccer team. In addition, Bruce worked at numerous camps and summer programs for the students of Glasgow and Bowling Green. Bruce was also an avid outdoorsman and hunter, spending time in the natural places he loved as often as possible.
Bruce was preceded in death by his father Larry Leeson. Bruce is survived by his mother, Janele Leeson; his two brothers, Todd (Jessica) and Ryan; his son Samuel, his daughter Kinsey; his nephew Silas Leeson; and his fiancée, Kathy Mills. Bruce is also survived by a loving group of friends that feel a part of Bruce’s family as well. Bruce Anders Leeson will be sorely missed and long remembered.
