Bonnie H. Goodman, 86, Glasgow, died Sunday, June 14, 2009, at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital. A native of Tazewell, TN, she was a daughter of the late William and Etta Cawood Hensley.
Bonnie was proud of her thirty-five year work history. Not only was she the first Glasgow employee hired at Handmacher Fashions but also the first at R. R. Donnelley & Sons Co., where she served as Secretary for three Division Directors. Other positions were Office Deputy during Sheriff Robert O. Alexander’s term and Legal Secretary for Richardson, Barrickman & Dickinson. A member of First Christian Church , she also served as Deacon and was a choir member for many years.
Bonnie is survived by her husband of 67 years, Jack T. Goodman; one son, William T. Goodman of Glasgow; and two grandchildren, Ann Goodman and Michael Goodman. One sister, Faye Starr, preceded her in death.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Christian Church.
