Billy Burr Melton, Jr. passed away Monday, June 8, 2026 at his residence. A native of Barren County, he was the son of Billy Burr Melton, Sr. and the late Gladys Louise Flowers Houchens. He was a retired farmer.
Survivors include his wife of 36 years Nancy Ann Melton; six children: Angela Beaty (Stevie), Bubby Smith (Misty), Wes Smith (Tonya), Scottie Smith (Crystal), Billy L. Melton, and Melissa Green all of Glasgow; nineteen grandchildren: Jasmine Beaty (Bryan), Shawn Beaty (Sara), Aaron Beaty (Shelby), Cody Page, Joseph Smith, Lucas Smith, Ashley Sauceda, Kelly Sauceda, Scottie Lee Smith, Jr., Austin Lee Smith, Clint Ernest Lee Smith, Madison Raine Leigh Smith, Jayden Melton, Brooklyn Melton, Hunter Melton, Jeremy Green, Jr., Summer Green, Autumn Green, and Lucas Green; six great-grandchildren: Keegan and Karson Chapman, Evrlii Reeves, Scarlett, River, and Walker Beaty; two brothers: Michael Melton of Bowling Green and Kevin Melton of Louisville; two sisters: Kim Nuchols (Lindon) and Tracy Inman; a sister-in-law, Linda Gray of Arkansas; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his grandmother Margaret Flowers and husband Claude; one son Anthony Melton; one grandson Stephen Beaty; and one son-in-law, Jeremy Green.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Bon Ayr Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday and after 8 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
