Billy Gene Norris, 75, Glasgow, died Monday, May 4, 2015, at the Commonwealth Regional Specialty Hospital. A native of Cumberland County, he was the son of the late Roy Grand Norris and Mattie Holman Norris. He was a retired mechanic and truck driver with Norris Trucking and a member of Bethel Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife Reva Norris, and his children, Robert and Tammi Norris, Rita and Todd Samaras, and Roy Norris; his grandchildren: Matt and Natalie Holland, Jesse and Heather Hayes, Auston and Jo Harper, Ethon and Holly Harper, Emma and Hunter McGuire, Sara Norris, Jordan and Kim Samaras, Alex Norris, Christopher Samaras, and his great-grandchildren; along with step-children Marshal and Sherry Moutardier, and step-granddaughter Kaitlyn; and two sisters: Linda Cutliff (David) and Lena England (Kenneth). He was preceded in death by his first son: Billy Ray Norris.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be after 4:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or Kosair Charities.
