Bessie Evelyn Martin, 89, of Glasgow, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, January 9, 2024 at her residence. She was a daughter of the late Everrett Nantz and Virgie Mae Ferguson Nantz. She was a retired waitress from Kentucky Restaurant.
She is survived by her children: Betty Bailey and Richard “Ricky” Martin (Ann); four grandchildren: Stacy Martin, Chad Martin (Ginna), Christy Wall and Lacey Bailey; nine great-grandchildren: Nissa Gossett, Dessi Austin, Jr., Shelby Jenkins, Tristan Martin, Austin Martin, Dalton Bryant, Kayle Rhinehart, Ava Wall and Ellie Wall; six great-grandchildren; one brother: Jimmy Nantz (Lisa); special friend: Gene Cahill; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by three brothers: Pete Nantz, Arnold Nantz and Bill Nantz.
Funeral will be 1:00 pm Saturday, January 13, 2024 at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be after 10:00 am Saturday until time for services at the funeral home.
