Bercie King Moon

Bercie King Moon, 86, Mayfield Mill Road, Glasgow, died Wednesday, June 15, 2005, at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital.
Born January 25, 1919, in Cumberland County, she was a daughter of the late Sam and Sarah Ella King and widow of the late John H. Moon. She was a member of the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church in Glasgow.
Survivors include a daughter, Sheila E. Moon of Glasgow; two sisters, Eula E. Perkins of Etoile and Lucy Oliver of Burkesville; two brothers, Jessie King and Leon King of Burkesville; two grandchildren, Casey Dewayne Moon of Tennessee and Christina Moon Muse of Glasgow; a great-grandson, Dakota Moon; several nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Kilby W. Moon; two sisters, Jewell Groce Flowers and Grace Jennings; two brothers, Paul King and Howard King.
Funeral services will be held 4:00 p.m. Sunday, June 19, 2005, at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Happy Valley Memorial Gardens. Friends may call after 1:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Alternate expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the American Cancer Society.
