Barbara A. Harper

Barbara A. Harper, 80, of Glasgow, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, July 12, 2026 at her residence. She was a daughter of the late Jewell Botts Powell and the late Dorene Kingrey Powell. She was a retired beautician, a member of the Haywood Fire Department as an EMT and a member of Dover Missionary Baptist Church in Haywood.

She is survived by two children: Lori Knight (Eddie) and Tony Bragg (Tiffany); four grandchildren: Nick Compton (Lindsey), Zack Bragg, Hannah Bragg and Shelby Bragg; two great-grandchildren: Maelyn and Evelyn Compton; her caregiver: Beverly Eaton; Several nieces and nephews. 

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Robert Randolph “Randy” Harper; two brothers: Gary Douglas Powell and Jerry David Powell

Funeral will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 16, 2026 at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Society Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday and after 9:00 a.m. Thursday until time for services.
