Anita Carol Houchens, 68, Glasgow, passed away Tuesday, June 13, 2023 at the T J Samson Community Hospital. A native of Barren County, she was the daughter of the late Horace Finn, Jr and Eurma Payne Finn. She was a healthcare provider. She adored her grandchildren and loved to dance. She along with her husband also shared a special connection with their mules.
Survivors include her husband Larry G. Houchens; two sons: Sammy P. Houchens (Angie) and Larry “Buck” Houchens (Angie); four grandchildren: Tyler Houchens, Luke Houchens (Ashley); Corey Settles, and Nic Boston; three great-grandchildren: Peyton Houchens, Weston Houchens, and Kamari Houchens; three sisters: Carla Houchens, Teresa Lane (Jimmy), and June Bennett (Chuck); her special friend and caregiver, Megan Pennington; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one great-grandchild, Lane Houchens; her parents-in-law, Frances and George Houchens; and a brother-in-law, Buddy Houchens.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Hiseville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 pm Thursday and continue Friday morning at the funeral home.
