Allie Edith Hancock, 88, Glasgow , died Monday, March 01, 2004 , at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital . A native of Clinton County , she was a daughter of the late Bertha Gertrude Perdue and Martin Byrd Owens, a homemaker and a member of the Glasgow Baptist Church .

Survivors include four children, Joyce Lee Hancock, Virginia Denton and her husband, James, and Janice Matthews and her husband, Darrell, all of Glasgow, Buddy James Hancock and his wife, Lois, of Bowling Green; one sister, Christene Huddleston of Elizabethtown; 7 grandchildren; 4 step-grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 4 step-great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; 1 step-great-great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Henry “Sam” Hancock and one granddaughter, Dona Denton Davis.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 3, 2004, at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Friends may call after 12 noon Tuesday at the funeral home.
