Alicia Yvonne Darnell, 58, of Glasgow, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Alicia was the steady hands and open heart of her family. Known for her kindness, she was always caring and giving. She was a talented crafter, quilter, and an exceptional
cook—especially known for her infamous cornbread. Her favorite and most cherished role was being "Nene," a name lovingly given to her by the light of her life, Taelyn.
She was the daughter of the late Theodore and Mary "Frankie" Francis Booker Darnell. Alicia was saved at a young age and attended a Church of God during her life. For 37 wonderful years, she was the devoted life partner of Teresa Harrison.
She is survived by her life partner, Teresa; two sisters, Karen Darnell and Debbie Craft; and three brothers, Clifford Darnell (Alliene), Richard Darnell (Jacquie), and Steven Darnell (Brigetta). She is also survived by Pam Robertson (Jason) and
Kevin Harrison, whom she considered a sister and brother and loved dearly, along with several nieces and nephews, including her niece Tonya Davis (Trevor), who remained by her side through everything. She also leaves behind a dear friend, Kay Fuller, who always brought her great laughter and moments they both treasured.
Alicia was preceded in death by her brother, Kelly Darnell, and her nephew, Michael Chapman.
Funeral will be 2:00 pm Saturday, November 29, 2025 at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be after 9:00 am Saturday until time for services.
