View Guest Register<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\nIrene Weaver Proffitt, 89, Aaron Road, Bowling Green, died Monday at Greenview Hospital in Bowling Green.\u00a0 A native of Barren County, she was a daughter of the late Jim and Deanie Lowrey Weaver, a retired teacher in the Barren County School System and a member of the Living Hope Baptist Church in Bowling Green.<\/p>\n
Survivors include a daughter, Sandy Darnell and her husband, David of Bowling Green; three brothers, Jesse Weaver and Melvin Weaver of Bowling Green and J.B. Weaver of Glasgow; four step-grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.<\/p>\n
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Proffitt; two brothers, Buford Weaver and Pomp Weaver, and two sisters, Lennie Bagby and Allie Wells.<\/p>\n
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery.\u00a0 Friends may call after 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
