A native of Barren County, he was a self-employed mechanic and a member of the Coral Hill Baptist Church. He was an avid fan of racing and a race car driver. He was the 1999 Points Champion at Barren County Speedway.<\/p>\n
Survivors include his wife, Denise; one daughter, Kaylee, at home; one step-son, Phillip Kelly and his wife, Melanie, of Glasgow; one granddaughter, Kyla Kelly; his parents, Marion and Robbie Payne of Merry Oaks; two brothers, Frank Payne and his wife, Melinda, of Glasgow, and Danny Ray Payne of Merry Oaks; one sister, Betty Tibbs of Glasgow; four nieces and one nephew; four great-nieces and three great-nephews. He was preceded in death by one nephew, Joey Tibbs.<\/p>\n
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
