Glenn E. Powell, 53, Glasgow, passed away Wednesday, May 27, 2015, at his residence. Glenn was born on June 17, 1961, in Mobile, AL to the late Ella Holiday Powell and Paul Powell. He was a 1982 graduate of Warner Robins High School in Georgia, was an employee of Steven D. Bell for 27 years as a maintenance supervisor, and was at Bradford Place Apartments for the past 13 years.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Ivan and his sister Juanita.

His memory will be forever cherished by his loving wife Jenny Powell of Glasgow; his siblings: James Powell, Debbie (Jack) Berry, Melody Gatlin, Shirley (Howard) Hall, and Helen (Jim) Kimtrell all of Warner Robins, GA; Oleta (Dale) Powell of Ormond Beach, FL; Vivian Phillips of Las Vegas, NV; Amy Walker and Sharon Barnwell of Macon, GA; Norma Powell of Byron, GA; Al Powell of Flora City, FL; and Wendell (Annita) Powell of Clarksville, AR.; a special aunt: Alberta Bradley of Fulton, MO; and numerous nephews, nieces, extended family and friends, and his beloved dog: Barkley.

The family chose cremation. A memorial graveside service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery under the direction of the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the American Cancer Society.

The family wishes to express their deep appreciation to T J Samson Hospice and especially to Paula and Derek for their care and concern during the recently difficult days.

    I will love and miss Glenn all the days of my life. I only regret that we didn’t get together more often, like we did when we were younger. I will try very hard not to lose contact with any more of my siblings. I no longer have a little brother, but he will always be in my heart. I Love You forever…

I know you loved your family very much and you seemed to do so much better while all your siblings were there to spend time with you in your final weeks. You will forever be in your daughter Deandra’s heart, she loved you and will miss you very much, you meant the world to her.
