I was deeply saddened to learn of my friend Edgar being called home to live in the house of the lord. I became friends of Edgar when he worked at Watson’s in the early ’70’s. I used to see him walking to work from his home on McKenna Street. I asked him one day if he would like to learn to drive? He said yes, I told Edgar that I would teach him to drive if he couldn’t find anyone else, so he saved his money and bought an old car, and true to my word I took the time to teach Edgar to drive and stood by him right up till I took Edgar for his driving test, my efforts paid off, everytime I saw Edgar at Watson’s after that, he would always thank me for teaching him to drive and he did so as long as I lived in Glasgow. My thoughts and prayers are with his wife Diane, son Dustin and grandchildren. Goodbye old friend and may you rest in peace in the house of the LORD. John Wayne WCDS radio.

My heart was deeply saddened to hear about Edgar’s passing. I always thought a lot of Edgar when we worked together at Wal-Mart. I always thought that he was just the nicest person who would go out of his way to help anyone, if he could. Patricia, I know that times are going to be really hard for you, but God has wrapped his arms around you to comfort you and get you thru this. Just bear in mind that Edgar is at ‘Home’ now and is at peace. If you ever need anything, all you have to do is call me.
God Bless you, Dustin, and the grandbabies.
