McRee Abston Houchens, 85, Glasgow, passed away Monday, May 6, 2019 at her residence. A native of Barren County, she was a daughter of the late Milt and Lizzie Mansfield Abston. She was retired from Ky Pants Co and Sorensen’s of Glasgow. She was a member of the South Green Street Church of Christ.

Survivors include two nieces: Judy Dugger of Glasgow and Sharon Bridges of Smiths Grove; three nephews: Brian Abston (Beth) of Glasgow, Kevin Abston of Bon Ayr, and Beau Abston (Amanda) of Mt. Juliet, TN.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Charles E. Houchens; three sisters: Ruby Cloyd (Willie), Sally Henry, and Mary Abney (Jesse); three brothers: James C. “Bill” Abston, Kenneth Abston, and Robert Abston.

Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday at the Hiseville Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Arrangements entrusted to Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home.
