Lillie Mae Sanders

Lillie Mae Sanders, 94, Glasgow, died Monday, June 5, 2017, at her residence. A native of Jefferson County, she was the daughter of the late Bernado and Blanche McGee Sanders. She was a domestic housekeeper and Nanny, and was a member of the Little Barren Baptist Church at Sulphur Well.

Survivors include three daughters: Hettie Sanders of Glasgow, Mezetta Hunter of Louisville, and Sandra Douse of Indianapolis; six grandchildren: Glenda Paulette Tooley of Glasgow, Annetta Hunter of Louisville, Nicole Hunter of New York City, Jennifer Martin of Indianapolis, Chris Douse of Ft. Wayne, and Fred Douse of Indianapolis; five great-grandchildren: Brandon Tooley, Gabrielle Beasley, C. J. Martin, Christian Hunter, and Taylor Hunter; two great-great grandchildren: Chloe Tooley and Braxton Tooley; her extended family: Mark Satterthwaite and his wife Dr. Lauren Pachman of Illinois along with their children Emily of Toronto and Teddy of Maryland; and Louise Becker and her daughter Hope of San Diego. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two daughters: Blanche Sanders and Mary Louise Sanders.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday at the Little Barren Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home.
