Robert D. Coates
August 27, 1971 ~ February 1, 2017
Robert D. Coates, 45, Glasgow, died Wednesday, February 1, 2017. A native of Barren County, he was a son of the late James Della Coates and Anna Loretta Kettles Coates. He was formerly a repairman at Kessinger Appliance.
Survivors include his wife Trina; five children: Crystal Coats, Jason Ashdown, Gabby Finn, Crystal Pedigo, and Tommy Pedigo; two grandchildren: Raymond Lee Dale Wilkerson and Lakisha K. Coates; three brothers: James Coates, Randy Vaughn, and Joe Bud Coates; four sisters: Della Carver, Bonnie Carver, Connie Wooten, and Crystal Vaughn; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother Bobby Vaughn.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with cremation to follow. Visitation will be after 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
I’m very sorry about your loss. I wish I could have gotten the chance to meet this guy. Rest easy . go fly over that mountain .prayers for Trina his wife and the family ..

I am so sorry crystal. . I can’t imagine the hurt in ur heart but know that ur daddy will always be with u in spirit.. I know ur heart hurts that he is no longer here but God needed him more.. I pray that God give u the strength that u need in this trying time.. I will be with u every step of the way.. I love u so much .. I’m so sorry to hear about Robert Dale. I remember us as kids and you all are my family always and I love you very much. I found out yesterday and I am so sad that I’m not able to make it today, I am working. I am just a phone call away. You all are in my thoughts and prayers. Robert Dale was a good man.
