Paul Richey Preston

Paul Richey Preston, 91, of Park City, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, September 21, 2016. He was a son of the late Clarence Franklin and Catherine “Kate” Shipley Preston. He was a graduate of the 1947 Park City Class, a graduate from the Bowling Green Business University in 1951. He was a veteran of WWII, and for 38 years he was the resident auditor for the National Park Concessions which he enjoyed as much as being a steward of his farm.

He is survived by his wife: Alyce Chamberlain Preston; his sister-in-law: Janice H. Chamberlain; six nephews; five nieces; and a host of cousins of friends and neighbors.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his brother: J. B. Preston; his paternal grandparents: John and Kate Berry Preston; his maternal grandparents: B. U. “Wood” and Loni Taylor Shipley; four brothers-in-laws; two sisters-in-laws.

Funeral will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, September 24, 2016 at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Cave City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home and after noon on Saturday until time for services. Alternate expressions of sympathy may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
