Maymie Craighead Spillman
October 18, 1913 ~ March 2, 2016
Maymie Craighead Spillman, 102, Cave City, passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2016. A native of Clay County, TN, she was one of 9 children born to Avery and Minnie Ritter Craighead. She was married to H. B. Spillman who preceded her in death in 2004. She was a retired farmer and homemaker, and a member of the Salem Baptist Church.
She is survived by three children: Minnie Pearsall and husband Max of Elizabethtown, James A. Spillman and wife Susan of Louisville, and Harry W. Spillman and wife Debra of Glasgow; four grandchildren: Thomas Pearsall, Charles Pearsall, Gary Spillman, and William Spillman; 4 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son: Charles Samuel Spillman; and her 8 brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Hiseville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
