Ruthine Edwards Nuckols

Ruthine Edwards Nuckols, 92 of Glasgow, born September 29, 1923 passed away peacefully on October 20, 2015. She was the daughter of the late Courtney and Berta Mae Sharp Edwards. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth R. Nuckols and her brother Russell Edwards. She was a member of the Siloam Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School until her mid eighties. She was the office manager for the Dickinson medical practice for 30 years. She was an active member and held various positions with the Barren County Homemakers.

She is survived by her three children: Judy Wyatt (Ron) of Mt. Juliet, TN, Janis Bumps (Tom) of Crossville, TN and Donald Nuckols of Glasgow; seven grandchildren: Kim Carter (Robert), Brandon Wyatt (Jennifer), Jennifer Bromley (Greg), Jonathan Whitlock (Jackie), Krissie Britt (Ken), Greg Nuckols (Sondra) and Randy Nuckols (Julie); eighteen great-grandchildren: Corey, Courtney and Colton Thomas; McKenzie, Maitlin, Matthew, Bryson and Brodryck Nuckols; Sydney, Logan, Kensley and Chloe Carter; Justin, Saige and Sophia Wyatt; Elizabeth and Parker Bromley; Elsa Ruthine Whitlock.

Funeral will be 11:00 A.M. Friday, October 23, 2015 at the Siloam Baptist Church. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. Thursday and from 9:00 to 10:30 A.M. Friday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Alternate expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Alzheimer’s Association.
