Becky York

January 27, 1951     ~     June 2, 2015

Rebecca Ann “Becky” York, 64, Glasgow, died Tuesday, June 2, 2015, at Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville. A native of Macon County, TN, she was a daughter of the Estelle and Frances Wix Slayton. She was the widow of the late Freddie York and was a retired supervisor at Sorensen’s.

Survivors include two children: Freddie Lester York and wife Holly of Glasgow, and Pennie Sue Odom and husband Derrick of Bowling Green; two granddaughters: Hailey York and Rebecca Odom; one sister: Katherine Sexton of Tennessee; four brothers: Billy Wix and wife Lachelle, Junior Slayton and wife Earline, Randy Slayton and wife Penny, and Donald Slayton all of Tennessee; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Vada Eden, and one brother, James Slayton.

Graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday at Happy Valley Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. Friday until time for service at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home.
