Albert T. Pollick

Albert T. Pollick, 88, Summer Shade, KY, passed away March 18, 2015, at his residence. A native of Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of the late Thomas and Josephine Powles Pollick. He was a graduate of the Julliard School of Music, a Broadway musician, a member of the Local 802 Musicians Union, a member of NARAS, and a teacher and mentor to a large number of successful musicians. He was a member of the Setauket Yacht Club and an avid sailor. Following his retirement, he and his wife spent 10 years sailing the eastern coast of the United States.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years Marie Kavanagh Pollick; one daughter: Alison Paczkowski and husband Stanley of Summer Shade; one son: Christopher K. Pollick of San Juan Capistrano, CA; three grandchildren: Kyle Paczkowski, Ryan Paczkowski, and Aidan T. Pollick; one niece: Judy Tufo.

The family will have a private memorial service. Memorials are suggested to NRDC. Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home is assisting the family.

    I was so glad to meet Albert. I enjoyed his stories about music, sailing and life. I loved how he talked. I wish i could have played music with him at least one time.
