Carl Henry Walden, 77, of Cave City, died Saturday, January 3, 2015 at his residence. He was a son of the late Marvin and Martha Sprowls Walden. Carl had served many years as a police officer serving in Cave City, Park City and Horse Cave, and had served a chief of police at Cave City. He had retired from Dart Container after 18 years as a truck Driver.  He was a member of the Mount Tabor Baptist Church.  He loved to be out on the family farm.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years: Joyce Slaughter Walden; one daughter Pam Walden Staples and her husband James; one granddaughter: Dana Wells; one great granddaughter: Chelsey Wells; one sister: Eurie Gooden and her husband Kenneth.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by five brothers: Oscar Walden, Harlan Walden, Charlie Walden, Robert Walden and Bedford Walden; three sisters: Ruth Dickerson, Docie Emmitt and Mamie Bartley.

Funeral will be 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Walden Family Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Monday at the funeral home.
