Michael Jon Stafford, age 67, of Glasgow passed away peacefully Saturday, October 18, 2014, at his home. He was born in Covina, California, the son of the late Alva and Julia McLean Stafford. He was retired from the Los Angeles County Fire Department, a former employee of Mammoth Cave National Park, and retired from the US Postal Service in Glasgow.  He was a U.S. Army Veteran having served overseas in the Vietnam War and for that service earned the Purple Heart, Silver Star and Bronze Star. Mike was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother and will be missed beyond words.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son Eric Stafford.

He leaves to cherish his memories his loving and devoted wife Louise Cash Stafford, his son Chris Stafford (Jennifer) of Hartford, his daughter Alisa Emery of Littleton, Colorado, his stepdaughter Krista Cash Morris (Josh) of Glasgow, his stepson Tim Cash (Beth) of Glasgow, five grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, his very special step-grandson Lane Morris who lovingly knew him as “Grandma Mikes”, and his sister Patricia House of Hayden Lake, Idaho.

The family would like to thank Alberta, Christy, Chrissy, and Derrick from TJ Samson Hospice for being such a great comfort and help to both Mike and Louise.

Funeral will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial and military honors at Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be after 1:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.

    So very, very sorry for your loss. He was such a wonderful man. I worked with him at USPS in Glasgow. He was such a funny person. Very compassionate too. He will be missed greatly.
