Sarah Elizabeth “Bill” Dooley

Sarah Elizabeth “Bill” Dooley, 91, of Glasgow, died Friday, May 16, 2014 at the NHC Health Care Center. She was a daughter of the late Logan A. Dooley and Lily F. Dean Dooley. She was a member of the New Salem Methodist Church.
She is survived by three nephews: Jimmy Lee Smith and his wife Vicki of Glasgow, Woodward Smith, Jr. of Glasgow and Terrell Smith and his wife Michelle of Miami, Florida; three nieces: a very faithful niece, Loretta Wood and her husband Russell of Glasgow who took care of her shopping needs for over 40 years, Virginia Kingrey of Glasgow and Shirley Henry and her husband Jack of Gallatin, Tenn.; one special great-niece: Whom the Dooley sisters helped raise: Andrea Danielle “Danni” Rhea of Hendersonville, Tenn., and numerous great-nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by two sisters: Mamie Katherine Smith and Mary Alice Dooley.
Graveside services will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday at the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery with Bro. Bobby Wood officiating. Hatcher and Saddler Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
I was so blessed to know Bill and enjoy visiting with her and her sister Mary Alice many times over the years. They were such sweet ladies. I could sit all day and just listen to their stories of their childhood and fond memories they had of family and friends. I’m thankful I got to hear Bill tell of being saved so it’s a joy to know we have the promise of meeting again. May God be with the family and bless each one of you during this time.
