Dora Mae Walker, 77, Glasgow, died Monday, November 04, 2013, at Cal Turner Rehab Center in Scottsville. A native of Monroe County, she was the daughter of the late Ezra and Katie O’Dell Walker. She was a member of the Bethlehem Methodist Church and had been attending Caveland Church during the past several years. She was a retired employee of the housekeeping department of NHC Healthcare, but her greatest pleasure came from her days of providing childcare to nieces and nephews along with friends’ children, all of whom she dearly loved.

Survivors include her step-mother: Opal Garrett and husband James; two sisters: Ruby Carver and Gertie Hodges, all of Glasgow; six nieces and nephews: Tommy Walker of Louisville, Reeca Carver of Frankfort, Anissa Pendleton, Billy R. Carver, Jr., Todd Hodges, and Tony Hodges all of Glasgow; two step-brothers: Wayne Garrett and wife Cindy of Temple Hill, and Jimmy Garrett of Glasgow; several great-nieces and great-nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister: Margaret Walker; and two brothers-in-law: B. R. Carver and Wendell Hodges.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
