Roger Dale Ballard, Sr., 66, of Glasgow, died Sunday, August 11, 2013 at his residence. He was the son of the late George Wilton Ballard and Bertha Alice Poore Ballard.

He is survived by his wife Gail Ballard; one son: Roger Dale Ballard, Jr.; two daughters: Anita Berry and her husband Tim and Pamela Ballard; seven grandchildren: Timothy Berry, Roger Berry, Emily Berry, Noah Ragland, Adam Ragland, Abigail Ragland and Kay-Leigh Duron; one brother: Junior Ballard; four sisters: Bonnie Ballard, Alice Medley, Connie Pulliam and Jeanette Rogers; his son-in-law: Mark Ragland.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter: Sharon Ragland; his brothers: Jerry Lee Ballard, Wayne Ballard and Billy Ballard; his sister: Loretta Ballard; one grandson: Justin Horton.

Funeral will be 1:00 P.M. Wednesday at the United Faith Independent Church in Griderville, Kentucky, with burial in the Lighthouse Church Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral home after 4:00 P.M. Tuesday and after 11:00 A.M. Wednesday at the church.

    I don’t know if you remember me but you use to cut my hair years ago. My mother is Judy Fancher. I just wanted you to know how saddened we are to learn of your loved ones passing.     Anita and family, So sorry to hear about your dad. I lost my dad in 2098 and it is hard to give them up. We have to look on the bright side if where they have gone. They are free of pain, at peace, and walking streets if gold.Just remember one day a reunion will be. Anita it has been along time since I seen you but you are still ” my prenatal”.
