Johnny B. Driver

Johnny B. Driver, 86, Glasgow, died July 8, 2013 at T. J. Samson Community Hospital. A son of the late Clem and Frances “Icy” Driver, he was a maintenance worker at Big K and a member of Hopewell Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Christine Duke Driver; four sons, Larry Driver and wife Teresa Lynn, Tony Driver and wife Shelly, Mitchell Driver, and Danny Driver and wife Nancy all of Glasgow; three daughters, Frances Marie Johnson and husband Eugene of Rutherford, NJ, Rebecca Driver Green of Boston, MA, and Rosey Driver Silder of Louisville; one brother, O. C. Driver of Georgia; two sisters, Madalene Austin of Cave City and Edna Curry of Hart County; 6 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six brothers, Junior Driver, James Driver, Eddie Driver, Rosco Wilson, William Driver, and Morgan Driver; and one sister, Louise Franklin.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Hopewell Baptist Church with burial in the Pleasant Union Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

    saw him a Glasgow nursing home my brother in law was the preacher we went their and we would go see him one thing I remember about him as him having his head coved up because he was cold he was a nice man and really glad me and the kids got to see him and my father in law would play guiatir and sing for him and the rest of the people will keep family in my thoughts and prayers

    Tony and Shelly, I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your father, Johnny Driver. I did not know him but wanted to tell you how sorry I am to hear about you loosing your father. My prayers will be with you all as you go through the funeral and burial of your father. May God comfort you and your family. God Bless you all and especially your mother now for this will be very hard on her more than you children.
