Jessie Pearl Hunter Bow

Jessie Pearl Hunter Bow, 91, Cave City, died Sunday, July 28, 2013, at Rosewood Health Care Center in Bowling Green. A native of Cumberland County, she was a daughter of the late L. B. and Elsie Fudge Hunter. She was a homemaker, a retired employee of Sorensen’s, and a member of the Salem Baptist Church.
Survivors include one daughter: Bonnie Hughes and husband Jimmy of Glasgow; two grandsons: Jay Hughes and wife Cindy of Morgantown, and LTC Jeffery S. Hughes and wife Debra of Glasgow; six great-grandchildren: Tyler Hughes, Andrew Hughes, and Emma Hughes all of Glasgow, SFC Richard J. Hughes and wife Heather of Ft. Mitchell, AL, Ryan Hughes of Memphis, TN, and Briar Neal Hughes of Upton, KY; two step-great-grandchildren: Jon Zlater and Nathaniel Ross; three great-great-grandchildren; one sister: Betty H. Halcomb and husband Dallas of Pittsboro, IN; a sister-in-law: Dorothy Hunter and husband Sam of Bowling Green; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Stanley P. Bow; one grandson: Joel Lynn Hughes; three brothers: Ralph Hunter, Samuel F. Hunter, and Jim Hunter; two sisters: Hazel H. Vibbert and Marie H. Fletcher.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Happy Valley Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Alternate expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Alzheimer’s Association.
