Lonnie Jessie 71, Hiseville, died Tuesday, March 12, 2013, at his residence. A native of Metcalfe County, he was a son of the late Charlie and Polly Ballard Jessie. He was an installer of aluminum siding and had been attending the Samson Street Church of God.

Survivors include one daughter, Angela Ramsey and companion Chris Page of Hiseville; six grandchildren, Charly Ramsey, Josh Ramsey Ramsey and companion Brittany, Dakota Jessie and companion Hillary, Tyler Jessie and companion Jenn, Sierra Jessie, and Kylin Spencer; six great-grandchildren, Isaiah Ramsey, Zoe Ramsey, Jayvin Jessie, McKenzie Vaughn, Kierra Vaughn, and Cheyenne Perkins; 5 brothers, Pete Jessie and wife Florence of Hiseville, Leslie Jessie and wife Barbara and Joe B. Jessie and companion Jenny all of Louisville, Johnny Jessie and wife Betty and Raymond Jessie and wife Jean all of Glasgow; three sisters, Nina Pearl Young of Kokomo, IN, Mattie Tatham and Nora Spencer both of Glasgow; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Joyce Marie Pennington Jessie; one son, Lonnie Paul Jessie; one grandson, Billy Paul Ramsey; two brothers, Charles Jessie and James Jessie; two sisters, Kathleen Martin and Pauline Morgan.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

    With Deepest Sympathy My heart goes out to the family. Sorry for your loss and may god give u all the peace you need during ur difficult time. He was a great man and surely loved church. I remember him at Samson St I used to go there and I remember hearing him shout and praise the Lord. He is rejoicing with his wife an all of his loved ones and he’s dancing with angels.
