Ralph Shrout, 77, of Glasgow, died Tuesday, January 22, 2013. He was the son of the late Ed and Florida Baber Shrout. He was retired from General Telephone Electric and the Glasgow Daily Times and he operated his own lawn care business. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, a little league baseball coach, a Boy Scout leader, a hunter education instructor and an avid sports fan.

He is survived by five children: Edie Siddens and her husband Robert, Heather Riley and her husband Jason, Ryan Shrout and his wife Alisa, Patrick Shrout and his wife Melanie and Rebecca Anderson and her husband Ed; sixteen grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his brother: Coleman Shrout.

The family has chosen cremation, and there will be a private memorial service. The family would like to give special thanks to the staff at the offices of Dr. Victor Guardiola, Dr. Amelia Kiser, Dr. Sudheer Nambiar and Pat Spears, APRN, to the home health care staff of T. J. Samson Community Hospital and the staff at The Medical Center at Bowling Green, including Dr. Randall Lanier and Dr. William Schwank. Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
