Nancy Gayle Norris, 80, Glasgow, died Tuesday, January 22, 2013, at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital. A native of Barren County, she was a daughter of the late Bernice B. Norris and Glayde Alexander Norris Priebe. She was a retired Licensed Practical Nurse, having worked at T. J. Samson Community Hospital, Graves-Gilbert Clinic, Kings’ Daughters Hospital, and the medical offices of Dr. Judy Richey at Howard Clinic in Glasgow. She was a faithful member of the First United Methodist Church in Glasgow.

Survivors include three children: Charles W. “Wes” Rayburn of Hagerstown, IN; Kathy Lee of Glasgow; and J. B. Rayburn of Seymour, IN; six grandchildren including Brian Travis Cook of Glasgow; two great-granddaughters; one sister: Anita Hiser of Pekin, IL; one nephew Jeff Hiser of Austin, TX; one niece Sara Ann Rayburn George of Louisville; one great-niece in Atlanta, GA, one great-niece and one great-nephew of Pekin, IL.

No formal service will be held. The family will be holding a private celebration of her life at a later date. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Alzheimer’s Research or to BRAWA (Barren River Animal Welfare Association). Arrangements were entrusted to Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home.

    kathy ; iam sorry to hear about your mom passing i remember her when mom was in nursing home such a sweet ady to talk to may god wrap his arms around each of you and comfort you through this difficulty time just remember the good times you had with her and remember that god only takes the best may godbless each of yoou

    we thought of ur mother highly she was a sweetheart.always loved seeing her come into st charles market and sit and talk to us ,she loved coming there and visiting us.we loved seeing her come in too.she will be missed!
