James Logan “Jim” Grider, Jr., 54, Griderville, died Saturday, December 22, 2012, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville. A native of Chicago, he was a son of J. L. and Sue Nell Alexander Grider of Griderville and a member of the Hiseville Christian Church.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife Amy Ligon Grider; one son, James Logan Grider III of Chicago; two sisters, Leslie Harper (Roger) of Burbank, IL and Sheila Hodges (Jamie) of Goodnight; 6 nieces and nephews, Ami Revels, Aaron Revels, Katelynn Landers, Ashley Landers, Brian Hodges, and Sarah Hodges; 1 great-niece; 4 great-nephews; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by one brother, William Grider; two sisters, Pamela Grider and Mary Lee Revels; maternal grandparents, Joe B. and Mary Alexander; paternal grandparents, Ernest and Thelma Grider.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Hiseville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to help defray funeral expenses.
