Connie Wood

November 13, 1963     ~     December 1, 2012

Connie Wood, 49, Glasgow, died Saturday, December 1, 2012, at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital following an extended illness. A native of Barren County, she was a daughter of the late Buford and Barbara Brown Wood. She was a former employee of Glass Paving and was a member of the Harlow’s Chapel Baptist Church.

Survivors include one daughter, Sable Wood of Glasgow; one son, Jeremy José-Leon-Wood of Wyoming; 5 sisters; 5 brothers; and a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 1 sister, Pearl Brown, and one nephew, Josh Wood.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with cremation to follow. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Kosair Charities.

    I loved Connie dearly and am so sorry to hear my dear friend is gone. She will be greatly missed! I haven’t seen her for a while but it was always fun when we did. Connie had a smile that could melt ice and that spirit and sense of humor was like no other! My heart goes out to Sable and Jeremy, you both were her rays of sunshine. You will all be in my prayers!

    Connie and I played basketball together at HCHS and were buddies. I am so sorry to hear of her passing. She was always fun to be around, always smiling, very talented and a dear friend during our years together at HCHS. May the fond memories of her always be in your heart.     We are deeply saddened to hear of Connie’s passing. Connie was a dear friend to me and my entire family. Connie and I played basketball together at Hart Co. High and worked at a local restaurant together many years ago. Connie made that job tolerable with her sense of humor and quick wit. The Wilkerson and Cross families extend our deepest sympathies to Connie’s loved ones.

    Connie was a dear friend of mine and my whole family. I was going to come to the visitation but Uncle Roy was in the hospital in Vandy. As you may know he is really sick.
