Mikel Dean Winchester, 53, Cave City, died Friday, July 20, 2012, at his residence. He was a native of Cumberland County and was a farmer.

Survivors include his wife Gloria Moore Winchester; one son, Shane Mikel Winchester (Monica); one daughter, Amy Winchester Griggs (Jeremy); four grandchildren, Mason Griggs, Maddox Griggs, Jackson Cole, and Lola Kate Winchester; his mother, Ines Love Winchester; 10 brothers, Bennie Winchester (Liz), Danny Winchester (Kathy), Lonnie Winchester (Debbie), Leymon Winchester (Bonnie), Ricky Winchester (Donna), William Winchester, Lonus Winchester (Donna), Stoney Winchester, Junior Winchester (Judy), and Jessie Winchester; 5 sisters, Wanda Cross (Leroy), Nina Vibbert, Helen Estes (David), Ann Trejo (Juan), and Donna Matamoros (Michael); several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ira Leslie Winchester; one brother, David Hall Winchester; one sister, Minnie Sue Smith.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Evergreen Cemetery. Friends may call after 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
